Otto’s Oddities

Otto's Oddities is located on the 4th floor of the Campus West entertainment complex. It is accessible via lift, but this cannot be used in the event of a fire. In order to take part in the game, you and your team must all be physically capable of evacuating via the stairs in the event of an emergency. The game itself can be played by wheelchair users and those with limited mobility, but there are two sections of the game that require ducking/crouching. We would suggest that at least one team member who is able to duck/crouch takes part in the game.

Hard of Hearing

The sound level of any music or special effects can be adjusted at any time by your game host, should you request it. All of our rooms use sound to help you know when a clue has been delivered; we also often use sound to indicate that a puzzle has been solved. We suggest that someone who is not hard of hearing takes part in each of our games just in case of any emergency (Fire Alarm, etc.).

There is a single sound-based puzzle in this game; to complete this puzzle, we suggest having at least one player who is not hard of hearing. This room does feature moments of recorded audio – these audio clips develop the story of the game, but are not relevant to the puzzles within the room itself. We can replace the story-related audio clips with text-based versions on request.

Light Sensitivity & Epilepsy

During your health and safety briefing before your game, you will be asked if you have any issues with Light Sensitivity or Epilepsy if it is relevant to your room; If this happens to be the case, your host will disable those special features – No puzzles are adjusted by doing this.

Due to the theming of this room, players may find the light is a little dim in places; phone torches are always allowed.

Colour Blindness

Many of our rooms feature puzzles that revolve around colour; we suggest that each team has a player who is not impacted by Colour Blindness in any form.
