PROP BUILDER VACANCIES

We are looking for experienced prop builders to join our permanent workshop team to help build escape room games, scenery, puzzles and props for our growing list of clients.

We can offer full time or part time hours on an either permanent or temporary basis. More than one position is available and we’re looking for people who can start in December.

We’re looking for a range of different skillsets, but mostly looking for people who can do a selection of:

  • Basic carpentry for constructing boxes, studwork, framing etc
  • Low voltage electronics (soldering, fault finding, familiarity with circuits and relays etc)
  • Familiarity with 3D printing, laser engraving, CNC machines
  • Mechanism building, coming up with clever ways to make our interactive puzzle ideas a reality
  • Problem solving
  • Set dressing

Note that we don’t expect any applicant to be able to do all of the above, just let us know what you’re good at and we’ll try to fit you in. Also training can be given onsite to develop skills.

GAMES HOST VACANCIES

Love escape rooms? Enjoy puzzles, interacting with customers and dressing up/performing in front of people? If so, you might enjoy working as an escape room host. Our hosts run our games using specialised computer software and giving clues when needed. Watch the games through CCTV and provide help when needed. It’s incredibly entertaining but also fun and challenging to get as many teams through the game with a few clues as possible.

Some performance experience is preferred for this position (but not essential) as you will need to act out a speech at the beginning of each game.

Hosts provide feedback and answer questions, etc. at the end of games too so being comfortable interacting with customers is important.

No previous experience needed as full training is given.

Pay is in accordance with and keeps up with the Brighton Living Wage.
