How long does it last?
The games themselves last up to an hour, but please allow 90 minutes for the whole experience to give us time for briefings and storyline beforehand and debrief and team photo afterwards.
Is there parking onsite?
There is no parking on the street outside the venue, it is all residents only. If arriving by car, we recommend parking at Churchill Square car park and walking up from there, it is less than 400 metres.
When should we arrive?
Please arrive exactly at the time you book, there is no need to arrive any earlier here. If you arrive late we may not be able to give you the full 60 minutes if we have other groups booked after you.
Is it scary?
No. Some escape room brands do like to use horror themes in their rooms but we don’t. All of our rooms are 100% fright free.
Is it suitable for children?
These games have been designed for adults and we've found through testing that they are suitable for ages 12 and up (but still with adult supervision). Ages 12-13 must have an adult in the room with them, teenagers aged 14+ are fine to book in without anybody else.
Will we be put in a group with other people?
No, all bookings at Pier Pressure are ‘private’ bookings so it will always just be your team against the clock.
Do I need to be physically fit?
No. There are no elements in our rooms that require physical strength. This is more about brain fitness and dexterity, than physical fitness. One of our games does involve one or more players having to crawl through a small space, but not every member will have to do it. Call or email us if you have any concerns.
Can we squeeze more people into the room than your max limit?
Sadly the max limit is there for a reason and it would either be unsafe or un-fun to put any more people in. If you’re a bigger group you can book two rooms and split into two teams.
Are we locked in the room?
No. The term 'escape room' is the most commonly accepted term used to describe these kind of puzzle games, but in ours you'll never be locked in and are welcome to step outside for any reason.
When are you open?
We are open 7 days a week, 364 days of the year (only closed on Christmas Day). Timings are Wednesday-Saturday - 9am-10pm and Sunday-Tuesday - 9am-8pm
Are you wheelchair accessible?
Sadly due to the restrictions of the premises that we're in, our fire escape route is down some stairs and we do not have a disabled toilet. Therefore we sadly cannot accommodate players in wheelchairs. Contact us if you have any queries about any persons with disabilities coming to take part.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes dogs are allowed in as long as they’re house trained and well behaved. Any damage must be paid by the owner.
Can I join in if I am pregnant?
Yes you can, most of our rooms have a chair of some kind that you can rest on and you can always step outside for a breather if you need to.
Is it safe for someone with claustrophobia?
Yes, perfectly safe. None of our rooms are actually locked so you are free to step outside the room at any time if you need some air or a change of scenery. You won’t be stuck in any small spaces, none of our rooms are smaller than an average sized bedroom.
