CAN YOU BRIDGE THE DIVIDE?
Society is divided, and unbalanced, leaving some in a fortunate position and others less so. But why..?
Sometimes we’re too quick to judge the lives of others when we don’t know why or how they have ended up on their current path. But what we do
know is how to help. And your challenge is to do just that.
The Divide is an escape room game with meaning. It is great fun, but also raises awareness and money for homelessness, with 10% of your booking fee going to Brighton Housing Trust to help with their daily fight against homelessness in Brighton.
Making a fun game out of a subject that is most definitely not fun is an incredibly tough ask. What they managed to achieve here is genuinely impressive: exposing players to the bitter realities, treating the subject matter incredibly sensitively, giving positive messages about how society can help… while still managing to make what was a thoroughly enjoyable game.
I highly recommend catching it while you still can. It’s a lovely demonstration of how an entertainment art form such as escape rooms can address a serious issue with sensitivity, and a worthy venture that thoroughly deserves support; but also it’s a clever, consistently entertaining game that I have no qualms about recommending in its own right.
We did the Divide room which was tricky enough to keep us all busy and entertained with an important message incorporated. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back!
As a family of 4 with a 12 & 15 year old, we entered The Divide, an adventure exploring inequality in society. It was done really well, not too heavy, and the challenges were difficult enough to take all (and a little more) of our hour. Staff are fantastic- helpful, funny and friendly. Definitely a great trip out. Can’t wait for the next one.
